One of the most characteristic animals of the Australian fauna. There are many species (about 40) of kangaroos, red kangaroos (the largest one), eastern grey (like this one) and smaller ones like the wallabies.

The baby kangaroo is called 'joey' and they spend up to a year in the mother's pouch.
